Tamworth
A visit to Tamworth.
After parking at Crewe and embarking on a West Midlands Day Ranger, my driver and his co-pilot headed to Nuneaton for Intermodal action, whilst I headed to Tamworth.
The day was better than expected with 3 Tugs, Rainbow GBRF, and numerous other workings at Tamworth for myself, and my fellow enthusiasts enjoyed a busy day at Nuneaton, despite the showers for us both.

Departing Crewe, a line of ex-Fertis 56s, with 56031 on the northern end of a line of 5 Grids.
A little bit nearer the equator was 56038!
Still looking anaemic, 56106 lurks in the centre of the line.
with another pale 56, 069
At least with EWS they looked like they had a bit of colour, but 56074 looks washed out and forlorn, awaiting whatever comes it's way.
Meanwhile a little later, 43303 tails 1V54 to the South-West at the High level station.
GBRF EuroPorte liveried 66735 heads 4M29 north bound for Trafford Park.
It's previous incarnation was DRS 66403.

Only my second 70 picture on an Inter-modal. 70009 heads south with 4O27 Garston-Southampton
Meanwhile, back at High level, 60059 "Swinden Dalesmen" heads 6M57 towards Kingsbury from Humber at High level.
There would later be a (minor) conflict over Tug 59 on 6E59,
or 6L48 at low level, both at the same time.

1V54 arrives at HL, on it's way to the South-West in warm summer sun.
43285 leads 43207 on the rear.

The cloud had rolled back in, by the time 43207 tailed the working south-west
EWS 66193 heads 6O42, cartics from Halewood, Merseyside- Southampton Docks for export, passing Low level
What colours these will be next year, remains to be seen.

GBRF Rainbow (daytime side) heads 4L18 south running on time, and looking Psychedelic.
Re-liveried Army 60040 heads 6E41 Westerleigh-Lindsey, approaching Tamworth HL, working right time.
After the showers, the sun came out, stronger than during the morning. The light was a lot better for phots with good depth of field, but shadows were now encroaching.
Freightliner 90016 heads 4M87 to Trafford Park

Another Freightliner 90, 90041 heads 4m88, north to Basford Hall.
