Stonehouse
A visit to Gloucestershire to see my brother and his wife, with a little griceing thrown in.

FGW 43165 heads towards Standish Junction from Stonehouse station, with a Paddington- Cheltenham service
EWS 66176 works hard up the incline to Standish Junction with a Red Bogie Tanks working, presumably from Westerleigh
South West Trains 158890 heads south from Cheltenham back to Bristol
FGW 150249 heads towards Standish Junction with a local stopper to Cheltenham
Heading south past Standish Junction, 66506 on an empty heavyhaul working. I had seen this loco working in the northwest of England only a few days prior to this, on Fiddlers Ferry-Scotland workings.
Returning from Cheltenham, 43162 (with 43165 on the rear) powers a service back towards Stonehouse, and onwards to Paddington
Another view of 43165
Another service approaches Standish Junction, with 43069 leading another Paddington-Cheltenham service.
And on the rear was 43126

EWS 60022 coasts downhill from Standish Junction with a Murco tanks working, presumably the 6B13 Robeston-Westerleigh daily. The bridge, from where the previous shots had been taken, is in the background.
Looking across towards Stonehouse, the difference in levels between the 2 lines is apparent from this shot of 43145 on the approach to Standish Junction.
Cross Country 43321 heads south.
Returning from Cheltenham, FGW 43091 approaches a foot crossing from where it is possible to view both lines.
