Carlisle Bits
Several visits to Carlisle for the East Coast Trains diversions and the Alcan tanks. Does the sun ever do a full shift at Carlisle nowadays?

GBRF revised livery 66733 approaches Carlisle with 6S45 Alcan tankers.
The light on this Saturday was such that I had to shoot at ISO 800 for the majority of the session, and it did little to brighten up, even though the rest of the country was basking in a heatwave just south of here.

4M01 is a relatively new working, which on this occasion caught me on the hop, as solo 86637 works through the station with an unloaded train.
DBS 92009 arrives with the Tesco Express in driving rain.
Europorte GBRF 66733, as yet unnamed, with 6S45 Alcan tanks. The guessing game had started about 20 minutes earlier as it neared Carlisle, as to which platform the signallers would send it. In the end I got onto platform 4 as it ran past the back of a double strength TPE (Typical of TPExpress to strenghten THAT train!!)
66433 arrives at Carlisle with 4M16, as 43299 departs with1F22. The weather was almost a repeat of the previous Saturday, except with slightly less rain.

A unexpected bonus, and it had also stopped raining! 66727 awaits departure with 6S45 Alcans to Fort William
43320 departs Carlisle ahead of 6S45, with 1S07 Kings Cross service bound for Aberdeen
A convoy of Dreds, 66420 leads 430, 424, 301 and 434 into Carlisle station with 0C46
43251 appears back at Carlisle with 1F21 to Edinburgh. By now the sun had started to appear, and along with it several "enthusiasts??" who proceeded to spoil other's shots as long as they got theirs in the bag!!
The eagerly awaited Spitfire Railtours charter crosses from the S&C lines into Carlisle station with 37194 and 37688 leading 1Z36, and 57007/011 tagged on the rear
The charter stands at Carlisle.
Unfortunately due to the southbound working being re-platformed, and also the afore mentioned boneheads, I only got a lousy shot of the DRS 66/4s heading for the coast, which is not worthy of being included. Well done boys!!??

With more special thanks to the afore mentioned numptys, this is the only shot I managed to get of this charter arriving. 47826 leads 1Z84 into Carlisle, with 47580 tagged on the back. I wasn't able to get the departure due to having to get a train back south.
The end of a colourful day out, with the sun now shining and feeling autumnal, 39o004 arrives at Carlisle with 1Z58
