East Lancs Diesel Gala 2011
A visit made to the East Lancs diesel gala on 1/7/2011. The visiting locos this year were from the SVR with 50044 and 50135, and the Midland Railway Centre, Butterley providing 20048, D6586 and D182.

With a hint of sunshine, Royal Scot's Grey arrives at Bury with a service from Heywood
Home based 20087 arrives from Ramsbottom with a shuttle service.
Visiting BR blue 20048 enters Bury with the ecs for the next shuttle service to Ramsbottom.
From the last shot it reversed back towards Bury South Signal Box, and then ran into platform 3 for the working to Ramsbottom. The shuttles all ran from Platform 3, with the through trains all working from 4 & 5
20087 returns to Bury tailing 50135 from Heywood. By now the weather had turned to overcast conditions, but later in the day sunnier weather returned.

BR Blue 50044 runs round the service from Bury, as it prepares to return with 2J70 from Heywood.
Whilst at Bury, D6586 arrives from Rawtenstall. The 33 did look a bit worse for wear around the cabs, so I assume it may only be a matter of time until it gets attention to it's bodywork.

The sun had just started to reappear as Loadhaul 50135 enters Ramsbottom, returning from Rawtenstall.
